   1. Vlado discovered a memory consumption bug and reported it in Issue #302 (dwallacelf, 13:48:37)
   2. Vlado pushed a draft PR#301 which fixes the issue.  Ondrej had reviewed it and Vlado will address review comments and do any additional clean up (dwallacelf, 13:50:33)
   3. PR#305 was recently submitted which fixes a race between reconnect() and access in statsclient.  Needs to be reviewed.  Dave's comment is that it moves the lock to before the connect state check and a lockless solution to detect connected status / reconnect failure would be more performant.
