14:00:22 #startmeeting nitrogen release review 14:00:22 Meeting started Wed Sep 13 14:00:22 2017 UTC. The chair is klou. Information about MeetBot at http://ci.openstack.org/meetbot.html. 14:00:22 Useful Commands: #action #agreed #help #info #idea #link #topic #startvote. 14:00:22 The meeting name has been set to 'nitrogen_release_review' 14:01:00 Good Morning! We are starting the first segment of Day 3 Nitrogen Release Review 14:01:14 #info Vratko Polak for Inegration/Distribution 14:01:30 #topic INTEGRATION/DISTRIBUTION 14:01:56 #link https://git.opendaylight.org/gerrit/63095 - release notes 14:02:52 Vratko - Thank you for your efforts testing! Do you have any concerns or blocking issues at this point? 14:03:54 There are two regressions. For Bug 9044 we do not have a clean fix, just a workaround for test to make them work. 14:05:03 I understand you are working on a patch for 9044. What is the other issue? 14:05:22 The other regression is ODL boot-up time. Due to number of features and inefficiencies in Karaf 4.0.9 some users might think it got stuch, while it finishes booting up in 3 minutes or so. I vaguely remember having open bugs for that, but workaround of "wait a wile longer" works, so not a blocker I think. 14:06:08 Will this go into the release notes? 14:06:10 The slow boot should be documented somewhere, I am not sure whether Int/Dist release notes is the correct place though. 14:07:18 I can add it to Int/Dist release notes, let me find a Bug number. 14:08:02 Thanks Vrakto! Let's discuss in TSC if you think we need to document the slow boot problem in other places. 14:08:58 Do you have anything else you want to bring up? 14:10:33 Other than that, no issues from Integration/Distribution. I guess some project do not have their features in odl-integration-all due to Odlparent 2.0.4 not having flexibility for heap usage during SingleFeatureTest, but that is not Int/Dist problem, Odlparent has improvements contributed already. 14:10:51 That is all from me. 14:11:47 #info INTEGRATION/DISTRIBUTION approved for nitrogen release! Congrats and Thank you! 14:12:23 Well, maybe I should comment on distribution-oofline-nitrogen failing, as it does not have Bug 9044 workaround applied yet, but I will have a fix for that soon, so it does not really matter. 14:13:01 klou: Thanks. 14:13:02 #info Assumption is we will not release until all blockers (including 9044) have resolution 14:13:22 vrpolak: thank you! 14:13:35 Do we have representative for of-config project? 14:13:42 yes 14:13:54 #topic OF-CONFIG 14:14:13 #info Wei Meng represents OF-CONFIG 14:14:32 #link https://git.opendaylight.org/gerrit/#/c/63078/ - release notes 14:14:57 Wei: Have you tested RC3?
