How can I reinstall MAAS on the MAAS node to get it back? 20:38:37 narinder`: reboot seemed to fix it 21:36:20 Stuart Mackie proposed joid: Use bzr in fetch-charms.sh to get cassandra charm https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23391 21:42:29 narinder`: solved it. Added port 8000 to /etc/apache2/ports.conf and uncommented the proxy conf lines in /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/proxy.conf 06:49:57 Merged joid: Use bzr in fetch-charms.sh to get cassandra charm https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23391 11:24:27 Narinder Gupta proposed joid: modified to take care of all scenarios. https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23419 11:25:05 Merged joid: modified to take care of all scenarios. https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23419 11:38:59 Narinder Gupta proposed joid: added for newton support and integration. https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23423 11:39:45 Merged joid: added for newton support and integration. https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23423 14:46:53 Narinder Gupta proposed joid: typo error corrected. https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23441 14:47:16 Merged joid: typo error corrected. https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23441 18:28:21 Narinder Gupta proposed joid: better support for old mitaka openstack release, https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23455 18:29:02 Merged joid: better support for old mitaka openstack release, https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/23455 10:32:35 narinder`: ping 10:33:31 narinder`: did the ppa:proposed patches to MAAS get merged? Trying to redeploy here as MAAS did not come back up after reboot, and deploy is failing as it says it can't find the ppa:proposed 11:59:25 narinder`: ping... I seem to have lost my notes on where I was at for deploying Intel pod 9. I just did a fresh pull and am ready to start again. What command do I run? 12:52:32 mbeierl: ./00-maasdeploy.sh attvirpod1 (use your pod name) 12:53:11 if you don't want to depploy MAAS again you can just rerun the ./deploy.sh command e.g. 12:53:28 bryan_att: thanks! Tried that but I am still getting the "No JSON object could be decoded" error. I thought narinder` had said that was fixed. 12:53:29 ./deploy.sh -s nosdn -t nonha -l attvirpod1 12:55:08 well... I thought so too. But check your 00-maasdeploy.sh script and make sure you have this line "sudo apt-add-repository ppa:opnfv-team/proposed -y" 12:55:31 And are using stable/colorado (at least that what I am using) 13:20:19 I am on stable/colorado, which is why I am so confused by this error. I think it has already been said once: how can a frozen release be broken after it is released? :) 13:21:24 bryan_att: do I just delete the VMs, or is there a script to remove the failed MAAS deploy? 13:23:13 mbeierl: to reset it, you need to first try ./clean.sh, and if that hangs "rm -rf ~/.juju/*" and then 00-maasdeploy.sh. 13:23:33 That will take you back to scratch. 13:24:26 I have had to manually delete VMs before, sometimes I got off in the weeds and needed that. I have some notes somewhere. But try those commands first. 13:26:37 mbeierl: found those notes, at https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/copper/Joid 13:27:03 mbeierl: if you need it.... see the part at "If you need to clean up an earlier install and redeploy, you may need to manually delete the JOID VMs etc. Otherwise MAAS redeployment may fail with errors (e.g. insufficient privilege to remove earlier VMs)" 13:30:46 bryan_att: thanks again! Funny, I think this is actually the second time we have had this exact conversation and you pointed me to your notes in copper. 13:30:52 I think I need to bookmark that 13:31:21 gotta love wikis 13:31:40 but they only work if I actually read them.... 13:31:51 * mbeierl has a swiss cheese memory 13:32:32 btw you can also download the entire channel log on irccloud, and save it for searching later. lots of stuff I have forgotten is in there. 13:32:54 use the gear icon in the upper right 13:41:04 I'm on irc via Pidgin. I have it set to log channels, but that is on my Linux laptop at home, not here on my work laptop in Barcelona :( 13:41:33 either way, it looks like the maas deployment is running 14:02:07 mbeierl: made a few updates to https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/copper/Joid+Notes. I noticed it was somewhat out of date. The procedure there is my current one. 15:51:14 #endmeeting
