- OPNFV community demo (rpaik, 13:34:34)
email announcement on the community demo (rpaik,
13:35:16)
- I added this comment in the marketing call - we
should pursue these demos as a technical activity under a related
project e.g. the proposed Edge project. It would be better to be
sure that (1) we have all members engaged that want to be; (2) we
are aligned on the scope and technical approach to such demos in the
future (bryan_att,
13:37:56)
- Brandon notes that plan is to evolve the demo
that was showcased at the Beijing Summit (also featured on Telecom
TV, CableLabs event, etc.) (rpaik,
13:38:00)
- otherwise we risk "branding" something that
does not necessarily reflect the goals of end-users or the technical
approach that the community would prefer (bryan_att,
13:38:44)
wiki page for the next phase of demo (rpaik,
13:39:18)
- seeking resource for HW, SW, labs, etc. from
the community (rpaik,
13:39:52)
- community members are encouraged to "sign up"
by October 1st (rpaik,
13:41:34)
- thus I would prefer that the TSC require that
such future demos be organized through an OPNFV project so we can
promote those goals above (bryan_att,
13:41:52)
- goal is to have the next demo ready by
January'18 (rpaik,
13:41:59)
- use the wiki page above for "signing up"
(rpaik,
13:42:45)
- discussion on aligning OPNFV projects with
potential demo (rpaik,
13:46:13)
- frankbrockners asks if there's a need to have
something like a working group for demos (rpaik,
13:50:47)
- suggestion is to have TSC more aware during the
demo development process (rpaik,
13:57:42)
- anyone interested in joining future demo calls
(monthly) can ping Brandon Wick (rpaik,
13:59:48)
Meeting ended at 14:00:47 UTC
(full logs).
